Shara Narsipur

Communications Manager

Shara develops internal and external communications for BlueNalu with a role that spans a wide variety of responsibilities in content creation, market research, company culture, sustainability and corporate social responsibility, and more.

After receiving her B.S. in Business Administration at SUNY Geneseo, Shara leaped into the world of content creation, firstly as co-founder of Minerva Books, an open source textbook publishing company, and then as Director of Writers for ContentWriters, a boutique New York based agency. She has managed relationships with freelance writers and a wide range of clients including Mercedes-Benz, Forbes, and Expedia. In 2018, she transitioned to work in environmental science communications through the Stanford University Environmental and Water Studies program. 

Shara was previously the Project Manager for San Diego’s BlueTech Incubator and TMA BlueTech, the largest ocean & water related industry cluster in the United States. She has successfully coordinated three BlueTech Week Conferences, pitch fests, international site visits and curated programming that featured high-profile leaders for sustainability-driven industry, academia and policy.

In her spare time, Shara enjoys yoga and water sports. She also manages comms for ocean literacy non-profit Spiral Pacific and leads a mentorship group for Urban Surf 4 Kids, a San-Diego non-profit that connects foster youth with the ocean.
